My most important role is to validate and correct issues within our client databases. I maintain quality and reliability using metrics based on features and options in our program. I build the tools for internal consumption and data functions.
What brought me here
I went to culinary school out of high school and became a chef right away. I worked every night and most weekends – never seeing my wife and children. Then I was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Long story short, I beat it and am now in remission. Cancer changed me, changed my priorities. I decided to go back to school and study computer programming. Through school, I was connected with an internship for Junxure and started working here for free as an intern. Eventually, I was offered a full time position. I have been with the company for quite some time now and have essentially done everything under the sun for the team.
How I balance life
What I do outside of work depends upon the weather. If it is sunny out, I can be found enjoying life outside – camping, fishing or working in the yard. If it is a rainy day, I prefer to be inside, at my computer. I am an independent game developer and self-taught coder. I have created eight different video games and look forward to developing more.
