Determining “what” needs to be done and “how” it can be done

My role is Data Operations Manager overseeing our Data Quality, Migrations, Operations, and Custom Reporting departments across multiple product lines and architectures. From making sure that data is flowing properly, accurately, and efficiently in all of our products, to dealing with day-to-day operational issues. I aim to keep the ship sailing smoothly for all things data; which is the core of our world. We focus not only on onboarding efforts, but also on constant data validation and augmentation efforts to ensure the highest quality, most accurate data is available to our clients. Additionally, I have a passion for Data Analytics, and have led many Business Intelligence efforts, keeping with my motto of “What is your data telling you” I have been a part of this team for over 12 years and am dedicated to the long term satisfaction of our users.

What brought me here

I went to culinary school out of high school and became a chef right away. I worked every night and most weekends – never seeing my wife and children. Then I was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Long story short, I beat it and am now in remission. Cancer changed me, changed my priorities. I decided to go back to school and study computer programming. Through school, I was connected with an internship for Junxure and started working here for free as an intern. Eventually, I was offered a full time position. I have been with the company for quite some time now and have essentially done everything under the sun for the team.

How I balance life

What I do outside of work depends upon the weather. If it is sunny out, I can be found enjoying life outside – camping, fishing or working in the yard. If it is a rainy day, I prefer to be inside, at my computer. I am an independent game developer and self-taught coder. I have created eight different video games and look forward to developing more.
