As the Escalation lead on our AdvisorEngine team, I function as a detail oriented, out-of-the-box thinker. I adapt to find any solutions while supporting our technical representatives. It is my job to analyze all the available paths and choose the correct one to venture down in order to achieve the highest level of functionality.
What brought me here
I studied Computer Science in college, but unfortunately the job market was down after graduation and job placement was tough. I landed in a job with Gamestop. Although part of the retail sector, the job aligned well with my computer science background. I worked my way up the ladder at Gamestop and quickly became a Senior Gaming Manager. Along the way, I found myself having to adapt to different people and their preferences. I grew in my ability to figuring out how best to serve a customer’s needs. One of my Gamestop customers, a current co-worker, recognized my strengths and abilities and suggested that I pursue employment with Junxure. I did, and shortly-thereafter, accepted a role as a Technical Support Specialist and have worked my up to Escalation Lead.
How I balance life
I have always had a very curious nature – for me it the thrill of breaking something and then being able to fix it. Outside of work, I dabble in a bit of computer programming. I am on various online programming boards where I help diagnosis and resolve issues for others. I also help out at our local recreation center, volunteering with kids and numerous programs. I especially enjoy coaching baseball there.
My favorite quote
Is actually not so much a quote, but words that I tend to live by, “patience is a virtue.” I always try to sit back and wait to gather as much information as possible before I act on anything -- this requires patience.
What I want to know most in life
What makes people tick?
Who inspires a sense of adventure in me
My family honestly inspires me everyday. My mother is always moving forward, discovering new things. My grandfather, who was once a teacher is so inquisitive - he is always asking questions and wanting to learn how things work. My other grandfather is quick to lend a helping hand within his community – always striving to make the world a better place. I am lucky to have all of them in my life.
