As a member of the consulting and training team, I work directly with clients to help them to navigate AdvisorEngine’s platforms. I use my extensive customer service skills to complement the team’s model of high-level client service.
I have always been in a role that catered to people and enjoy making people feel like they are special. My first job out of college dealt with a wide range of clientele - both individuals and companies. I learned to be a chameleon and adapt with each individual account, discovering that a “people” approach is always best - learning about the client as a person. Treating someone as a person rather than a dollar figure goes further in making them happy. It enabled me to gain respect and loyalty among all my clients.
These values transitioned me well into my next role as Office Manager of a local structural engineering firm. One of my duties was to keep the clients informed of our schedule and when their home plans were to be completed. Often times we experienced delays, but I found that using a more personable approach helped ease the client's mind.
Prior to AdvisorEngine, I spent almost 18 years as a Customer Service Manager for a small company. I built strong relationships with our customers over these years. We had a considerable base of repeat customers in an industry where there is hard to come by - these people trusted me to take care of their needs and always do what was right. My integrity and honesty led to this happy customer base, which in turn led to many referrals to our business.
I am a very creative person by nature. In my spare time I make natural soaps and handcrafted sterling and gemstone jewelry - I also do tie-dye and Shibori. I participate in local craft fairs where I sell my wares to the public. It really touches me to handcraft something that brings joy to someone. I find it very rewarding when people come to seek me out at that next show, looking for more of my crafts. I also enjoy spending time with my two American Eskimo dogs, Baxter and Cody. They are very loving and full of energy - they really keep me on my toes!
“Instead of worrying about what you cannot control, shift your energy to what you can create.” - Roy T. Bennett
There really are so many unanswered questions out there - but all of them are worth exploring. Like, who decided to eat the first random plant and take the chance that it was edible? And who named the color chartreuse? So many questions!
I am a cautious person by nature. My sister inspires me to do more and be more. She is always willing to take a chance regardless if she succeeds or not. She is always ready to try new things. When I am with her, I let her lead me to new and exciting things; whether it is food, music, or a new experience. I am grateful to have such a close relationship with my sister, and that she emboldens me to follow her example.
